Job Description
One of our Reputed Customers is looking for the Supplier FAI (First Article Inspection) Review Engineer for long-term assignments.
Initial Assignment will be work-from-home.
Later, as needed, candidates need to report to the on-site location (Wichita, KS, USA).
Currently, our customer is working with various suppliers globally.
The manufactured parts documents from the suppliers need to be verified in accordance with customer requirements in terms of Engineering and Manufacturing standards.
Candidates will be reporting directly to the customers as needed.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in First Article Inspections as per AS9102 standards
- Knowledge of Manufacturing processes (Machined, Sheet metal, Extrusion)
- Knowledge in Finishing & Inspection process of manufacturing Parts
- Understanding of Detail, Assy, Installation and next higher Assy Concepts
- Differentiate Manufacturing and Engineering requirements
- Knowledge of BOM preparation from engineering sources
- Interface between suppliers and customers
- Understand logistics documents from suppliers and customers
- Aware of product lifecycle & supplier interface requirements
- Maintain priority requests from suppliers and plan with stakeholders to expedite parts
- Knowledge of PPAP is preferred
- Awareness of instrumentation devices/tools used across Engineering Industries
- Knowledge of GD&T is an added advantage
- Excellent communication skills, self-driven, proactive, and willing to learn quickly
