Job Details
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a 10-month Fixed Term Contract.
- General ledger management: Overseeing the monthly balance sheet, banking, and inter-company reconciliations.
- Financial statement preparation: Production of IFRS consolidated results and stand-alone financial statements.
- Technical accounting: Ensuring the Group’s financial accounting and reporting remains compliant with accounting standards.
- Month end reporting: Preparation of monthly financial reports. Completion of the monthly prepayments, accruals, journals, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules.
- Liaison with external Auditors, Bank Managers, ONS, and Tax specialists.
- Assisting in process improvement and systems enhancement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience in Accounting
- Strong commercial and business acumen
- Process and deadline-driven mindset
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and other financial software
- Professional accounting qualification, or working towards a qualification such as AAT or ACCA
