Full-Time Financial Reporting Manager

Reporting Analyst Responsibilities: Collect, analyze, and layer internal business information into reports for Management/Owners. Ensure each business process operates within standard parameters and investigate large/unusual items. Must have an "enter-once" approach for all data flow from source.

Data Challenges: Various reports often generate data that other systems report differently (e.g., sales report vs. customer revenue). Investigate revenue-to-cash steps, document procedural errors, suggest improvements for other departments. CFO expectation - "when you turn over a rock, all sorts of things are found crawling."

Key Reporting Areas: Revenue, Revenue vs. Sales, backlog and MRC (start/stop dates), Credit/Collections/Adjustments classification, Taxation and regulatory reporting (USA federal, state, local, international), Cost of Service vendor matching to Revenue, SG&AA knowledge, MRC services, early termination liability. Evaluate revenue/vendor commitments.

Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze and process data, build report templates, develop data-driven solutions, produce monthly metrics/reports/analyses using internal business intelligence (proposal/contract activity, ad hoc requests). Conduct regular reviews of data quality and integrity, perform data clean-up, suggest data collection improvements.

Analytical Products: Support development of new analytical products, suggest improvements for current products, understand internal data sources (methods, systems), build relationships with data providers/consumers.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Respectful approach to information gathering from other departments.
• 5+ years of internal reporting experience, CPA/CA preferred.
• 3+ years experience in SQL data extraction.
• Understanding of data dictionaries/JOIN clauses.
• Experience in subscription MRC technology, telecommunications, USA/Canada regulatory/taxation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of research methods and concepts.
• Ability to work independently and translate numbers into reports/communications.
