Forensic Scientist and Technician

Requires training, knowledge, and experience in: medical treatment, anatomy, motor vehicle operational and safety systems, measurement systems, laser scanning systems, aerial drone operation, photography, videography, data processing, analysis, and forensic reconstruction of vehicle crash events.

The position requires the application of methods used in forensic documentation and failure analysis. It includes collecting evidence using specialized software and hardware specific to each vehicle.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent education with multiple associate's degrees.

• Medical record review and analysis (Generating indexes of materials)
• Generating medical and technical exhibits

• Investigation and analysis of mechanical devices, products, designs, and related items
• Providing technical findings, analysis, conclusions (verbally and in writing)
• Maintaining client and project team communication
• Maintaining technical and professional knowledge through continuing education, industry seminars, publications, and professional organizations.
• Meeting performance metrics and goals
• ACTAR certification (or ability to obtain within 1 year)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and results-oriented attitude
• Mathematical and technological inclination with quick adaptability
• Willingness and ability to obtain additional licensure and certification
• Ability to work remotely or travel to job sites
• Travel to different regions in and outside of Florida
• Ability to travel, maneuver at accident sites, lift up to 50 lbs, drive to locations, wear personal protective equipment.

Salary: $80,000 - $105,000
