Role Description
This is a remote contract role for a Freelance Bookkeeper. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing financial statements, performing bookkeeping tasks, utilizing accounting software, and recording journal entries. Your tasks will include maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting.
We initially require services for a 2-month game project in conjunction with the Canadian Media Fund, with the possibility of expanding our service requirement to include a full-scale production kicking off in Fall 2024.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Experience in creating and managing financial statements
- Proficiency in using accounting software
- Understanding of finance and financial analysis
- Ability to accurately record journal entries
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Relevant certifications or degree in accounting or finance is a plus
- Knowledge of the Canadian Media Fund, experience with grant funding and administration
