Front Desk Agent

General Purpose: The Front Desk Agent is the face and voice of 21c, providing a superior guest experience. They handle all aspects of the guest experience, including welcoming guests, checking guests in and out, and coordinating guest experience prior to arrival.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Responds professionally and courteously to guests.
  • Provides accurate and timely information and services.
  • Responds to inquiries about reservations, hotel information, and guest concerns.
  • Completes check-in procedures for arriving guests.
  • Facilitates guest departure (check-out).
  • Calculates and posts monies, receipts, and guest accounts.
  • Answers inquiries and accepts reservations (in person and by phone).
  • Maintains good customer relations.
  • Accepts incoming calls, assists outgoing calls, schedules, and pages guests.
  • Controls cash transactions and maintains personal bank accounts.
  • Maintains a friendly and courteous demeanor.
  • Processes guest mail, messages, and faxes.
  • Provides information and processes gift shop sales.
  • Relays art exhibition information to guests.
  • Contributes to and maintains information sources.
  • Provides assistance to other employees and departments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience dealing directly with the public
  • Knowledge of basic customer service skills
  • Proficient in English
  • Understanding of verbal/written instructions
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to use tact and understanding
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Proficient in cash handling procedures and computerized cash register systems
