We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven GCP Customer Engineering Lead for North America. This is a billable role, and the successful candidate must contribute to client projects, particularly in the early phases of new engagements.
The Customer Engineering Lead will play a critical role in securing new business, supporting deal closures, and ensuring a smooth handover to delivery teams.
A key aspect is building strong technical relationships with Google engineers to align Endava’s solutions with Google's ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Pre-Sales & Client Engagement
- Engage directly with prospective clients to understand their technical and business needs, particularly for large-scale cloud migrations.
- Lead and participate in technical discussions, presentations, and demonstrations of Endava’s existing cloud solutions.
- Support the sales team throughout the sales cycle with hands-on technical guidance, including developing proposals, architectural guidance, and business case justifications.
- Be billable on projects during the early ramp-up phase to ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to delivery.
- Google Engineering & Strategic Relationships
- Develop and maintain strong technical relationships with Google Cloud’s engineering teams.
- Align Endava’s services with Google’s cloud ecosystem to enhance our ability to win and deliver projects.
- Act as the bridge between Google engineering, Endava’s delivery teams, and the client to ensure a seamless pre-sales to delivery experience.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams
- Work closely with internal technical delivery teams to ensure solutions proposed in pre-sales are practical and align with project execution.
- Provide input into Endava’s technical best practices for large-scale migrations, ensuring our pre-sales process is well-aligned with implementation strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a billable role, either as a cloud consultant, solution architect, or similar.
- Strong expertise in large-scale cloud migrations, preferably within Google Cloud.
- Experience engaging with Google engineering teams or equivalent at another hyperscaler.
- Hands-on experience designing, presenting, and implementing cloud solutions.
- Ability to support project delivery, particularly in the ramp-up phase, ensuring a smooth handoff.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
