Job Details
We are seeking a talented General Accountant to join our dynamic and growing team. This contract position requires an individual who has a deep understanding of accounting practices for an international ecommerce business.
Responsibilities:
● Monthly review and analysis of financial reporting to provide a summary of challenges andbopportunities to the leadership team.
● Oversee all components of bookkeeping, A/R, A/P to ensure accurate financial reporting and classification of expenses.
● Develop, implement and maintain new policies, procedures and controls as this is a new role in a growing business
● Oversee our contract bookkeeping company who also manages payroll
● Managing Health Insurance and Workers Compensation
● Assist in onboarding US State Tax SaaS
● Investigate registration and tax requirements to expand globally (ie United Kingdom)
Qualifications:
● 3+ years accounting experience
● Proven experience account in an ecommerce environment
● Proficient in Excel and Gsuite
● Professional designation is required
● Experience with USA State tax compliance, collection, and filing is an asset
● Experience with International tax registration and filings is an asset
