Contractor General Ledger Accountant

An opportunity has developed with our partner entity for an enthusiastic Accountant to manage the Company’s accounting records, assist with closing procedures and financial statements and interface with the external CPA firm. The person in this role will be a vital member of the Accounting team, supporting the company’s continued growth and success by maintaining accurate records of the company’s day-to-day financial transactions and performing routine accounting tasks. The ideal candidate is a CPA with bookkeeping experience, who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience in the crypto space is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate books
• Record daily financial entries and reconciliations
• Work with general ledger entries
• Maintain income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement
• Complete monthly close of financial statements
• Discuss and present financial statements for internal team and for executives
• Manage invoices and tax payments
• Record payments and adjustments

Requirements

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
• Outstanding communication skills
• Detail-oriented and well-organized filing of documentation and support
• Accurate and efficient
• Analytical and critical thinker
• Excellent data analysis skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (notably Microsoft Excel), Google Suite apps and other web-based tools
• Experience working in a remote setting, preferred
• CPA license preferred
• Bookkeeping experience and experience with cryptocurrency preferred
