Job Details
We are seeking an experienced leader to lead our US Statistical Sciences team. The role is permanent and located in the US. The Head of Biostatistics will manage and develop the team, provide mentorship, and support individual team members. This role provides statistical and strategic support to clinical and regulatory strategies in drug development, post-marketing, and lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development and management of the individual team member and the Biostatistics team.
- Leadership in balancing priorities and mentorship to align employees with company objectives.
- Provision of statistical and strategic expertise for in-licensing opportunities and clinical document review.
- Driving optimal use of statistical methods and strategy, including clinical development plan and study design and delivery.
- Contribution to budget estimation and efficient use of statistical resources.
- Support of clinical projects with statistical skills and expertise.
Qualifications:
- MSc or PhD in Mathematical Statistics, Statistics, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience as a statistician in the pharmaceutical industry or a CRO.
- 3+ years of experience in line management or a similar leadership role.
- Experience in Phase III development.
- Experience with regulatory interactions and major submissions.
- Experience in rare disease or immunology (preferred).

Compensation:
Base salary: $214,000 - $280,000 annually. Additional benefits include a 401k match, short-term and long-term incentives, medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD, life insurance, and other health and wellness programs.
