Healthcare Data Analyst is responsible for supporting Vatica's Growth team in corporate business engagement and development, focusing on provider value-based care. Services include developing client-facing outputs for sales and expansion, enabling visibility into risk adjustment metrics, and supporting broader organizational analytics efforts.
The Analyst acts as a bridge between the core analytics team and external stakeholders, providing rapid solutions to time-sensitive needs and facilitating migration to standard tools where appropriate.
Responsibilities:
- Gather, interpret, and use internal/public data to identify growth opportunities.
- Transform data into actionable business intelligence and effective presentations.
- Present and contribute to provider value-based care prospect/client interactions.
- Refresh, interpret, and distribute core analytics for meetings/workgroups.
- Contribute to the design and development of data-driven client solutions.
- Analyze public value-based care data to support performance/growth.
- Perform geo mapping to identify prospective clients.
- Evaluate member overlap between organizations.
- Prepare Campaign load data for Salesforce and initiate campaign load (after approval).
- Analyze data related to practice/provider participation to increase participating providers.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years' experience in value-based care analytics (risk adjustment preferred).
- Strong client relationship building, communication, and presentation skills.
- High proficiency with data sets, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications (Access).
- Strong understanding of relational databases and database tools.
- Experience with Azure, Power BI, or similar tools.
- SQL, R, PySpark, and Azure Synapse experience preferred.
- Ability to ingest and interpret complex internal/external data sets.
- Ability to develop rapid solutions for immediate needs.
- Direct risk adjustment (CMS HCC) experience, understanding key metrics (condition prevalence, HCC scoring).
- Experience pulling data from disparate sources for accurate decision-making.
- Experience with Salesforce.com CRM (preferred).
- Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and project management skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
