The Clinical Account Manager (CAM) acts as the primary customer contact for sales demand creation by executing marketing strategy and promoting Sobi products. This role requires strong clinical knowledge of Sobi’s products and effective communication of on-label clinical benefits.
As a sales leader, the CAM will achieve territory sales by executing Plan of Action (POA) marketing strategies. This includes delivering branded sales messages, representing Sobi at local meetings, and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Remote position, but candidate must reside within the territory (Brooklyn & Queens).
Responsibilities include:
- Representing Sobi products and services to a defined customer base.
- Generating and growing sales, consistently achieving or exceeding sales goals.
- Promoting appropriate use of Sobi products according to guidelines (Corporate, PhRMA, OIG).
- Comprehensive understanding of Sobi and competitor products, and disease states.
- Developing and implementing a territory business plan to meet customer needs and achieve sales goals.
- Weekly analysis of territory sales data to prioritize physician targeting and reporting.
- Strict adherence to all regulatory and legal requirements.
- Preparing territory budget plans.
- Assisting in the identification and resolution of issues.
- Reporting adverse events to Sobi's Drug Safety department.
- Performing administrative duties (call reporting, expense submission, etc.).
- Travel within the assigned territory (up to 40-50% travel, including overnights).
Requirements:
- BA/BS in business or science
- Minimum of 5 years dedicated hospital selling experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry, with 3 years specialty sales experience.
- Minimum of 3 years biologics sales experience using a specialty pharmacy or 8 years hospital selling experience.
- Experience with transition of care/patient journey process.
- Demonstrated history of high sales performance.
- Experience with single source pharmacies, reimbursement programs, managed care, and formularies.
- Strong work ethic, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Strong sales experience.
- Rare disease experience preferred.
- Must be based in or near the geographic territory (relocation not provided).
Compensation:
Base salary range $120,000 - $190,000 annually.
