Full-Time Infrastructure Engineer

Surprise.com is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to assess the current infrastructure and make recommendations for growth related to security, networking, storage, uptime/downtime, serverless, and containerized environments, and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

• Deploying cloud infrastructure across various environments.
• Participating in patch management activities.
• Managing cloud environments following best practices and security guidelines.
• Deploying and debugging cloud initiatives throughout the development lifecycle.
• Identifying and resolving issues proactively.
• Contributing to process improvement initiatives.
• Managing systems access for team members.
• Staying updated with industry trends and providing recommendations.

Requirements:

• Upper-Intermediate English or higher (B2+)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience architecting, developing, and managing AWS cloud environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Expertise in AWS services (ALB, EKS, RDS, AWS Organizations, Lambda, S3, IAM, Route53, ACM, EC2).
• Proficiency in orchestrating application deployments on Kubernetes (AWS EKS).
• Proficiency in Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Experience with Jenkins shared libraries and monitoring tools (DataDog, AWS CloudWatch).

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with Python and Bash.
• Application performance tuning experience.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, SQL, Spring Boot, and messaging technologies (Kafka, MQ, SQS).
• Experience with Apple MDM software (Jamf PRO).
• AWS certifications.
