Purpose of the Position:The Institutional Research Senior Analyst oversees UMA Education, Inc.’s ("UMAE") comprehensive survey research program. Key responsibilities include establishing research result databases, designing and administering data collection methods, and providing data, insights, and recommendations for planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
- Designs and administers survey instruments to meet regulatory requirements and for various other stakeholders using best practices in research methodology.
- Selects appropriate statistical techniques to compile, organize, and analyze data using various software platforms such as Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) and Excel.
- Determines how to present research summaries and presents results to diverse audiences and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Recommends actions for continuous improvement based on analysis.
- Develops and deploys ad hoc qualitative and quantitative analyses around new business initiatives and markets.
- Develops and continuously improves data management procedures, programming, documentation, and data organization methodologies.
- Communicates effectively, both in writing and verbally, across all levels of the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in applied math, statistics, finance, economics, computer science, business, social and behavioral science, or related area of study

Preferred Requirements:
- Master’s degree in applied math, statistics, finance, economics, computer science, business, social and behavioral science, or related area of study
- 2-4 years’ experience performing data analysis, quantitative research methods, and/or survey research
- Experience with data visualization techniques and software (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Experience with survey design and administrative software platforms (i.e., Survey Monkey, Qualtrics, etc.)
- Experience with statistical research methods and software (i.e., Excel, SPSS, etc.)
