Full-Time Internal Auditor

We are seeking an Internal Auditor to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head of Internal Audit in planning and executing the approved risk-based annual audit plan.
• Prepare presentations and meeting minutes for the Audit Committee.
• Independently execute end-to-end internal audit engagements, ensuring timely delivery.
• Coordinate and oversee external consultants, ensuring alignment with internal audit methodologies and objectives.
• Develop a deep understanding of business processes within the audit scope, identifying key risks and controls.
• Conduct kick-off meetings with auditees to communicate audit scope, objectives, and process.
• Obtain, analyze and evaluate audit evidence, supporting conclusions with well-documented findings.
• Identify and communicate audit findings, proposing recommendations to address control weaknesses/improve processes.
• Prepare formal audit reports communicating findings and recommendations.
• Lead closing meetings with auditees, providing feedback on audit findings and recommendations.
• Monitor and assess implementation of audit recommendations, ensuring actions are executed within timelines.
• Support continuous improvement of the Internal Audit function, contributing to risk assessments and control evaluations.
• Develop effective working relationships with all levels of management.
• Assist in ad-hoc projects and special investigations as required.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years experience in IT/Cybersecurity audit or Internal Controls audit.
• IT & Cybersecurity Focus: Experience in IT audits, cybersecurity risks, IT general controls (ITGCs) and data protection.
• Internal Controls Focus: Knowledge of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO, SOX compliance, risk-based auditing).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems or related field.
• Excellent written and spoken English (mandatory).

Additional Information:

• Remote work from Portugal option.
• Permanent, full-time (36 h/week).
• Minimal travel.
