Neilson Financial Services is seeking a mid-level Internal Communications & PR Manager to drive internal communications strategy and support partner-facing messaging. Ensure employees across all regions are informed, engaged, and aligned with company mission and values.
Manage key internal communication channels, including internal magazine ‘Wild Life’. Maintain employer brand presence on LinkedIn, Indeed, and Glassdoor.
Key Responsibilities
- Internal Magazine (Wild Life): Lead production, plan content calendars, coordinate contributions, write/edit articles, oversee design & distribution. Reflect company culture, celebrate employee achievements to boost engagement.
- Executive Communications: Support C-suite in drafting/sending company-wide communications (email announcements, newsletters, memos) on policy updates, organizational changes, success stories. Maintain consistent tone & messaging with leadership’s voice.
- Employer Brand Online Profiles: Manage and update Neilson’s presence on LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor and other employer review platforms. Keep profiles current with company news, culture highlights, job postings, ensuring consistent branding. Monitor/respond to comments/inquiries, professionally addressing reviews/questions.
- Employee Feedback & Employer Reviews: Track & analyze feedback from employer brand platforms (e.g., Glassdoor reviews). Prepare periodic reports on trends in employee feedback, sharing insights with HR and leadership. Highlight strengths and address areas of improvement to inform engagement initiatives.
- Corporate Website Content: Update & edit content on NeilsonFS.com (careers page, news releases, about us sections, partner-related content). Work with web development team or CMS tools, ensuring consistent tone.
- Partner Communications Support: Review/refine partner press releases/announcements involving Neilson. Ensure accuracy, alignment with brand voice & messaging guidelines. Provide feedback, contribute quotes/content representing Neilson appropriately.
- General Internal Comms & Branding Projects: Contribute to other internal communication initiatives, supporting internal events (town halls, staff webinars), creating infographics/slide decks, driving employee engagement campaigns, ensuring all internal messaging adheres to Neilson’s brand and values.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or PR, preferably in a mid-sized/large organization.
- Exceptional written communication skills, detail-oriented.
- Experience in ghostwriting or drafting messages for senior executives
- Hands-on experience managing content on intranets/websites (CMS proficiency).
- Familiarity with social media and employer branding platforms (LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed).
- Comfortable with gathering and interpreting data related to communications (email open rates, intranet engagement).
- Strong organizational skills, managing multiple projects.
- Proven ability to work closely with senior leaders, understanding their communication needs.
- Understanding of or willingness to learn about the life insurance/financial services industry.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, possibly global environment.
