Global Process Lead in Master Data Management (MDM)
Oversee design, implementation, and optimization of MDM processes across the organization. Collaborate with business units, transformation program colleagues, MDM team, external partners, and D&IT colleagues across regions to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and quality.
Align global MDM processes with business needs, compliance standards, and data governance frameworks.
Identify, drive, and manage data projects, supporting the rollout of all data management elements in Santen's global business transformation program, focusing on supply chain data.
Embed data management processes, roles, and responsibilities in Japan, and manage data cleansing and migration activities.
Global Responsibilities:
- Lead global MDM projects, managing regional specificities.
- Identify MDM skill gaps and build/develop MDM teams.
- Promote consistent data quality, process, and governance, aligning with Santen's objectives.
- Develop strong collaborative relationships with data owners and subject matter experts.
- Ensure data standards, SOPs, and training materials are up-to-date, defining data ownership, business rules, maintenance processes, and monitoring activities.
- Ensure user training and MDM best practice promotion.
- Support SMEs and end-users in daily MDM tasks and business projects (new product launches, process improvements).
- Manage master data operations globally and locally in Japan. Ensure BAU support and timely execution of changes/enhancements.
- Provide guidance and support to MDM team members.
- Manage key master data domains (Material, Vendor, Customer) following governance practices throughout their lifecycle.
- Represent MDM team in forums like PGB, CAB, GLE/NPI.
- Collaborate with SAP CoE for SAP S/4 HANA ERP application support.
- Manage MDM systems (Semarchy) and associated applications.
Regional Responsibilities:
- Connect with global and Japan business stakeholders to understand and develop MDM processes supporting the Japan business.
- Serve as single point of contact for MDM initiatives and support in Japan.
- Support business transformation projects in Japan from a master data perspective.
- Evaluate current master data operations in Japan and align with global DataOps support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Over 10 years of IT experience, with 5 years in data domains.
- Experience with one MDM tool and end-to-end MDM implementation.
- Supply chain process and data experience.
- Proficiency in Japanese and English.
- Life sciences industry experience preferred.
- SAP S/4HANA experience preferred.
