Junior Accountant - Contract Opportunity
100% Remote Position
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Junior Accountant to support inventory accounting accuracy and financial integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and reconcile financial adjustments to maintain Stock Ledger accuracy.
- Research and resolve errors in daily transaction reports.
- Develop and distribute reports on inventory valuation and shrink trends.
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls for audit readiness.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Perform ad-hoc reporting and review peer-prepared adjustments.
Requirements:
- Intermediate accounting knowledge and retail accounting experience is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, basic formulas).
- Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills.
- Clear communication and cross-functional relationship building skills.
- Highly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
