Full-Time Layer 4-7 Senior Network Operations Engineer - Federal

• Operate and maintain ServiceNow’s global cloud network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Maintain software-defined infrastructure using automation tools.
• Perform software upgrades and security patching.
• Analyze network metrics to prevent outages.
• Support network operations in private and hybrid multi-cloud environments.
• Partner with the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team to improve operational processes.
• Review and prepare for planned changes and releases.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation.
• Provide feedback to infrastructure architects.
• Collaborate with peer teams.
• Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies.
• Contribute to automation for rapid deployment.

• Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
• 4+ years of experience in network operations or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on experience with load balancers, routing/switching, and security devices.
• Solid understanding of network protocols and services.
• Experience managing hybrid and public cloud environments.
• Proficient in Linux systems administration.
• Familiarity with container technologies and service mesh architectures.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools.
• Ability to respond to incident resolution.
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code and automation tools.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Experience with change management processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
