As a Technical Business Analyst, you'll lead business, data, and systems analysis for products and services, becoming a domain expert. Working in Agile teams, you'll combine business and technical analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead data and systems analysis, identifying business and technical requirements & acceptance criteria.
- Conduct data analysis, identifying detailed requirements including business transformation mappings.
- Create technical User Stories, explaining them to the technical delivery team.
- Develop and document detailed User Stories with the Solution Architect, validating solutions meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with data consumers and internal teams to create specifications, including data definitions & mappings.
- Lead workshops and data supplier engagement.
- Formalize analysis results into structured documentation and gain stakeholder approval.
- Build strong relationships with data suppliers and consumers.
- Establish repeatable patterns and processes.
- Manage the project backlog in Jira.
- Participate in the technical Agile scrum team, contributing to testing and validation.
Core Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 5+ years experience as Technical Business Analyst, Technical Data Analyst, Product Business Analyst, or Software Business Analyst
- Extensive AWS S3 experience
- Agile delivery team experience
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with technology and business stakeholders
- Data collection, interpretation, and analysis skills to identify patterns and trends
- User Story and functional specification creation (functional, non-functional, and data definitions)
- Data-oriented requirement experience (data modeling, mapping, workflow)
- Requirements discovery, documentation, and solution delivery using appropriate analytical approaches
- Experience running requirements workshops to elicit User Stories, etc.
- Experience working in data teams on complex integration problems using public cloud and messaging/streaming technology
