Job Details
Senior Certification Auditor
Perform third-party audits per SGS Certification procedures and applicable standards. Make decisions concerning the audit process and inform SGS SSC to resolve issues outside the audit process.
Collect and analyze information to recommend certification. Control and perform auditing activities (planning, team control).
Remote Position
Perform audits in accordance with SGS Global/Local procedures, sector-specific schemes and IATF 16949.
Operate the SGS Certification Management System, liaise with Product Managers and Accreditation Manager.
Control auditor teams during audit activities.
Decide whether registration should be recommended or allowed to continue based on audit evidence.
Gain experience covering all SGS Certification accredited activities.
Assist in training other auditors and lead auditors.
Participate in witness audits.
Maintain all audit credentials.
Undertake other activities as directed.
Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
Education & Experience
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant discipline, or similar
- Qualified Lead Auditor Accredited scheme against IATF 16949
- Completed an approved IATF 16949 Auditor/Lead Auditor course with examination
- Experience in the automotive sector
- Competent knowledge of quality, security, service, and business continuity standards (ISO)

Travel
- Up to 80% travel (automobile/airplane, some international with potential 8+ hour flight times, possible weekend travel)
Salary: $110,000 - $130,000/yr (based on experience)
