Lead Data Engineer

As a Lead Data Engineer, you will help clients scale data solutions, drive enterprise-level innovation, and make data-driven decisions. You'll work closely with clients to understand their business processes and analytics needs. Design and build data pipelines and cloud data solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop cloud ETL and data pipelines
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and other DataOps fundamentals
• Communicate effectively with business and technology teams
• Meet client needs creatively
• Explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Stay updated on new data tools and best practices
• Develop client-facing documents (data flows, requirements, etc.)

Required Skills:

• 8+ years cloud data engineering experience
• 2+ years formal leadership experience
• Experience with cloud ETL and data pipelines (Python, SQL, Airflow, Talend, Matillion, DBT, Fivetran)
• AWS experience (Glue, S3, Athena)
• Data modeling expertise (relational, tabular, transactional)
• Excellent ETL job design and development
• Experience with data analysis, cleansing, and aggregation
• Data scaling and automation expertise
• CI/CD pipeline and DataOps knowledge
• Strong consulting skills (analytical, communication, presentation)
• Understanding of data modeling approaches (Kimball, Inman, Data Vault)

Preferred Skills:

• Undergraduate degree in technology or business
• Cloud certifications (Microsoft, AWS, Snowflake)
• Big Data Technologies experience (Hadoop, PySpark, MongoDB)
• Power BI experience
• Agile, Scrum, or SAFe experience & certifications

Compensation: $141,000 - $175,000 (base salary)
