About the Team: The Platform (Infrastructure) Team builds and maintains the core foundation for Protex systems. Fosters robust edge-to-cloud connectivity, scalable data infrastructure, and high-performance backend services. Ensures edge deployments for real-time computer vision, and dependable systems for proactive workplace safety.
About the Role: Lead DevOps Engineer to lead infrastructure efforts across cloud and edge environments. Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines, design scalable observability systems, and drive system reliability. Shape developer experience, maintain environment parity (Dev, Stage, Prod), and ensure secure, high-quality data. Work closely with engineering teams to support well-architected, cost-effective, and secure infrastructure including proactive cost management, cloud security enforcement, and compliance with regional standards (e.g., GDPR).
Responsibilities:
- Lead infrastructure efforts across cloud and edge environments.
- Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines.
- Design scalable observability systems.
- Drive system reliability across globally distributed environments.
- Support well-architected, cost-effective, and secure infrastructure.
- Proactive cost management and cloud security enforcement.
- Compliance with regional standards (GDPR).
- Maintain environment parity (Dev, Stage, Prod).
- Ensure secure, high-quality data across all regions.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, or SRE.
- Proven SRE experience with focus on uptime, reliability, and system health.
- Expertise in monitoring, observability, and reliability best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline design and automation (cloud and edge).
- Experience with real-time, distributed, or IoT infrastructure.
- Experience with Unix-based operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Terraform.
- Experience managing split environments (Dev, Staging, Prod) with consistent, production-quality data.
- Ability to deploy infrastructure across regions while maintaining GDPR compliance.
- Substantial knowledge of AWS services (e.g., Lambda, EC2, S3, CloudWatch).
- Focus on developer experience and supporting cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of cloud security best practices (secrets management, threat prevention, vulnerability mitigation).
- Ability to influence technical direction, mentor others, and implement solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
