Job Details
We are seeking a Word Processing professional to support time-sensitive project requests by collaborating with a team across multiple shifts and locations.
Candidates should excel at producing high-quality work and maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.
Knowledge of legal word/document processing using legal software and Microsoft Office is an advantage.
Monday-Friday, 10a-6:30p (Pacific Time)
- Create, edit, and format legal documents to firm specifications using various software.
- Convert, clean, and format documents to/from different file formats.
- Create charts, graphs, tables, and spreadsheets as needed.
- Create and/or edit Tables of Authorities and Table of Contents.
- Perform data entry using various software applications.
- Transcribe analog or digital dictation files.
- Restore/recover corrupted document files if necessary.
- Provide telephone help desk support for application queries.
- Complete assigned tasks accurately and promptly.
- Handle sensitive and confidential documents and information.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to work overtime
- Ability to work with complex legal document markups and instructions
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines simultaneously
- Professional and respectful interaction with clients and team members
- Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm with 95% accuracy
Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree with 3+ years experience in legal word processing or document production preferred
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) required
- Experience in legal word processing tasks (TOAs, TOCs, cross-references, PDF conversion, applying Word styles, troubleshooting documents)
- Transcription experience a plus
- Knowledge of legal terminology and citations preferred
Rate: $19.19/hour
