About The Position KIPP Foundation’s Analytics team supports the use, analysis, presentation, and application of high-quality data and research. These data enable KIPP to drive improvement in results, monitor progress, and inform learning and storytelling. The Analytics team supports a network of schools by providing key stakeholders with data needed for decision-making, marketing, and development. The ideal Manager, Data & Analytics is a storyteller, highly detailed, process-oriented, and seeks ways to improve processes, analyses, and products. This team member is a strong communicator, relationship-builder, and proactive self-starter who centers equity in their work and relationships. The Analytics team is hiring 3 Managers focusing on 1 of 3 areas: 1) K-8 academic initiatives, 2) High school and postsecondary education, or 3) Talent and leadership development.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and execution of reporting and analysis (40%)
- Cleaning, compiling, and analyzing data to support reporting and analysis
- Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and other products for stakeholders
- Generate actionable insights and communicate results in various formats
- Serve as a thought partner to program teams to identify needs
- Support data collection, quality assurance, verification, and systems initiatives (40%)
- Support annual data collection and verification processes
- Support the development of business, functional, and technical requirements
- Support day-to-day activities of the Data & Analytics team (20%)
- Support KIPP with data needs including grant submissions
- Support planning and execution for network-facing events
- Support planning, facilitating, and contributing to the D&A team culture and equity development

Experience and Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in quantitative reporting and analysis, data management, and quality assurance
- Experience with SQL or similar programming languages
- Experience developing dashboards and data visualizations
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer service mindset
- Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, or similar
- Preferred: Experience in K-12 and/or higher education; statistical methods experience; Salesforce, Jira, Zendesk experience
Work Conditions
- Less than 10% travel
Location
- Remote office or KIPP Foundation office (NYC or Chicago)
Compensation
- Salary range: $80,000 - $95,500
