Your CareerThe Managing Director, Incident Response, leads Unit 42's Incident Response consulting practice for North America. This role involves daily consulting delivery, functional management, strategic practice direction, business development, and strategic customer advisory.
Your Impact
- Partners with executive and service line leaders to develop and execute Incident Response (IR) strategy.
- Leads the IR practice, managing goals and milestones for quarterly, annual, and long-term objectives.
- Drives innovation in reactive offerings, collaborating with cross-functional teams to leverage Palo Alto Networks products.
- Advances existing IR services, ensuring quality and customer service.
- Integrates threat intelligence into services, deepening feedback with the Unit 42 Threat Intelligence team.
- Partners with teams to scale and mature the Unit 42 Retainer offering.
- Recruits and onboards top IR talent.
- Supports consultant growth through training and enablement.
- Fosters a positive team culture.
- Forecasts revenue, utilization, and product pull-through, developing a practice budget.
- Manages the practice to achieve revenue targets and consultant productivity.
- Develops strategies for service development, enablement, and process improvement for Palo Alto Networks product pull-through.
- Cultivates client relationships, increasing awareness of Unit 42's capabilities.
- Amplifies Unit 42's presence through thought leadership (speaking engagements, articles, whitepapers).
- Creates operating rhythm and manages the consulting team for goal attainment.
- Provides hands-on incident response services and delivers findings to CxOs and/or Boards.
Your Experience
- Demonstrated experience designing and leading global incident response programs.
- Experience managing and motivating consultants at all levels.
- Strong security vision, strategy, and program leadership, anticipating future challenges.
- Experience overseeing director, senior, and mid-level analyst/consultant teams.
- Ability to travel.
- Strong presentation, communication, and CxO/Board level presentation skills.
- Expert knowledge of relevant laws, compliance regulations, and industry standards.
- Technical proficiency in various cybersecurity services (digital forensics, incident response, etc.).
- Strong client service and client management skills.
- Understanding of client needs and desired outcomes.
- Public speaking experience, writing ability (technical reports, business communication, thought leadership).
- Hands-on service delivery with a focus on collaboration.
- Results-driven and strategic approach.
- Cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM) are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree, advanced degree (MS, MBA, JD) is a plus.
