Managing Director, Incident Response is responsible for leading Unit 42's Incident Response consulting practice for North America. This person will be active in the day-to-day delivery and functional management of the consulting organization, but also responsible for the strategic direction of the practice, building the business, and becoming a strategic advisor to clients.
Responsibilities Include:
- Partner with executive team and service line leaders to develop and execute strategy for the Incident Response (IR) practice.
- Lead the IR practice by managing goals and milestones to achieve objectives.
- Drive innovation in reactive offerings, leading the consulting team and collaborating to bring new capabilities and services to market.
- Advance the maturation of existing IR services.
- Ensure consistency and quality of services and customer service.
- Integrate threat intelligence into services.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to scale and mature the Retainer offering.
- Recruit and onboard world-class IR talent.
- Support the professional development of consultants.
- Foster and maintain a positive team culture.
- Forecast revenue, utilization, and product pull-through; develop a budget.
- Manage the practice to achieve revenue targets.
- Manage the productivity of the IR consulting team.
- Identify and execute strategies for service development, enablement, and process improvement.
- Cultivate and maintain client relationships.
- Amplify Unit 42's presence via thought leadership (speaking engagements, articles, etc.).
- Create an operating rhythm and manage the consulting team.
- Provide hands-on incident response services and deliver findings to CxO/Board.
Required Experience:
- Demonstrated experience leading a global-scale incident response program.
- Experience managing, leading, and motivating consultants.
- Experience as a senior-level leader establishing security vision/strategy/program.
- Ability to travel.
- Strong presentation, communication, and presentation skills communicating at CxO/Board level.
- Expert knowledge of laws, compliance regulations, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity services (digital forensics, incident response, etc.).
- Client services mindset and top-notch client management skills.
- Understanding of client needs and desired outcomes.
- Public speaking experience and writing ability (technical reports, etc.).
- Results-driven and strategic.
- Cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISM) a plus.
- Bachelor's degree; advanced degree a plus.
