What Does a Media Planner, Paid Social Do?
The Paid Social Media Planner develops and implements paid social media campaigns to increase brand awareness, engagement, and conversions. This role requires understanding social media platforms, trends, analytics, target audiences, and performance evaluation.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute social media strategies across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Reddit).
- Conduct competitor analysis for growth opportunities.
- Manage social media ad campaigns, adhering to best practices and quality assurance.
- Track invoices, allocate budgets, manage campaign pacing, and ensure financial accountability.
- Monitor and analyze social media performance using analytics tools to measure campaign effectiveness.
- Prepare regular performance reports with actionable insights and optimize campaigns.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Social Media Leadership, Media Planning, Account Team) to align social media efforts with brand goals.
- Stay updated on social media trends, tools, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 1-2 years proven experience as a Media Planner, Paid Social, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, audiences, and ad types.
- Meta experience preferred.
- Healthcare or pharmaceuticals experience preferred.
- Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented, strong math aptitude, and organizational skills.
- Creative mindset with innovative ideas.
- Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
