Job Details
This role reports to the Senior Director of Publications within Medical Affairs and supports Guardant Health's Real-World Data/Evidence (RWD/E) activities.
Ideal candidate: Strong background in analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, responsible for generating insights and evidence analytics across various domains.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, oversee, and execute RWE studies supporting clinical utility, health outcomes, and economic value of Guardant Health oncology diagnostics products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align RWD/E strategies and data visualization; translate scientific and clinical needs into actionable insights.
- Independently develop, validate, and execute statistical programs in R, Python, SAS; prepare presentation materials for internal and external audiences.
- Present study results and communicate complex data clearly to external stakeholders (KOLs, academic collaborators, policy-makers).
- Partner with KOLs in developing scientific publications (abstracts, posters, manuscripts, white papers).
Preferred Experience:
- Oncology, diagnostics, or precision medicine experience.
- Designing & deploying advanced analytical techniques.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree (Master's, PhD) in a relevant field (outcomes research, epidemiology, statistics, advanced data science).
- 8+ years of relevant experience in health outcomes research in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology/device environment.
- Strong proficiency in R, Python, or SAS; hands-on experience writing statistical programs.
- Demonstrated ability to work in matrixed environments.
- Extensive experience in real-world data analytics, observational research, and outcome research studies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Hybrid Work Model: Defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days. US employees within 50 miles of a Guardant facility are required onsite Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
Compensation: $144,200 - $198,250 (base salary range, Palo Alto/Redwood City, CA) – does not include benefits.
