Full-Time Medior Professional - Business Insights & Data Analyst

As a Medior Professional - Insights & Data Analyst you are end-to-end involved in new developments.

Depending on the project, you take on a combination of roles: from analyst, data expert, developer or dashboard designer to initiator of the project.

You work closely with the substantive experts, financial analysts and Management.

This way you can be sure that what you develop is an added value.

Your tasks will include:

1. Determine the right internal and external sources and convert this data based on the data requirements.
2. Make data-driven information clear and visualize it, also make clear reports for this and discuss your insights.
3. Work closely with the Data Scientist & IT to identify improvement proposals. Your opinion and insights will be of great importance here.
4. Work at the office in Schelle or at home and work effectively with data together with the Business Excellence manager.
5. Collect, process and analyze data and build clear insights and reports in Power BI and Qliksense.
6. Help the business and our customers to recognize trends and relationships and make the right decisions through analyses.
7. Identify information needs from the business and formalize business requirements.
8. Define a scope together with the business, then provide analyses and insights.
9. Understand the business model of the company, the market and how the various departments function, generating correct insights with the data provided.
10. Clean, transform and convert data into data models and visualizations in Power BI or Qliksense.
11. Set up customer projects and maintain data in our reporting tools.
12. Work closely with Data Specialist within Europe to share best practices and leverage existing reportings.
13. Be ready to answer all data and technology related questions within our company.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent through relevant experience
• Desire to work with data, program and think along in the longer term
• Like to talk to internal customers about what they really need
• Work smoothly with others to achieve goals and take initiative
• Agile project approach and action-oriented

Technical expertise:

• Education related to Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Informatics or comparable relevant experience
• Knowledge of QlikSense, Power BI
• Knowledge of Google Big Query and Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with SQL, Data Modeling, Data Visualization, Python, etc.
• Permanent residency in Belgium
• Fluent in English
• Dutch native speaker, with good French knowledge
