Full-Time Mid/Senior Network QA Automation Engineer

The project and the teamWe develop modern Software Defined Networking (SDNs) and Network Operating systems-based solutions for the leading networking equipment manufacturers. We work with cloud-native, containerized software and services, as well as with user-space and kernel-space drivers for advanced network equipment such as switches, routers, and smart network interface cards (smartNICs). The team consists of developers, QA Automation, and DevOps Engineers. We often work using hardware and tools provided by the client. Our projects can be managed by our EMs or directly by the client. We use Agile methodology (Kanban/Scrum) whenever possible. We work with clients from the US and Europe.

Your roleAs a part of the project team, you will be responsible for:

• Developing test automation using Python
• Contribute to Python-based test framework functionalities
• Contributing to document test scenarios
• Ensuring components you are responsible for are well-covered by automated tests
• Being proactive and motivated to deliver high-quality work
• Communicating and collaborating effectively with other developers
• Conducting code reviews for pull requests (PRs) raised by team members
• Maintaining project documentation in Confluence

As a QA Automation Engineer, you must meet the following criteria:

• Experience with Test Automation in Python (version 3)
• Experience with PyTest
• Good knowledge of network concepts - switching and routing, preferably Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent knowledge
• Good knowledge of virtualization
• Good knowledge of English (B2+ level)

Nice-to-haves:

• Knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, Arista switches and routers
• Knowledge of Cisco iOS XR/XE devices (e.g.: ASR 9000, ISR/ASR 1000 series)
• Cisco CCNP certification or equivalent knowledge
• Experience in automation of network devices, YANG models, NETCONF, gRPC/gNMI protocols
• Experience with hardware traffic generators like Ixia, Spirent
