Full-Time Model Validator Lead Associate

As a Model Validator Lead Associate, you will:

• Validate models through theoretical and empirical research using public and proprietary data across mortgage finance areas.
• Produce model validation reports and assessments of model performance, evaluating risk mitigation needs.
• Complete model validation projects adhering to company policies and industry practices.
• Develop validation/testing strategies and assess model methodologies, outputs, and processes.
• Apply business context to interpret model results, monitor performance, and assess risks.
• Communicate technical information clearly and concisely to leadership and teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field
• 4 years of model development or validation experience in the financial industry
• R and Python programming skills
• Technical writing skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master's) in a quantitative field
• Experience with SAS or SQL
• Knowledge of risk management governance (lines of defense)

Skills:

• Proficiency in mathematical, statistical, and computer science techniques for model development
• Understanding of business contexts for model use within software applications
• Fast learner with a strong knowledge foundation to learn new model building and risk management techniques
• Excellent communication skills to communicate technical information clearly, both verbally and in writing (e.g., assessments, reports)
