Job Overview: The Accounting Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams (production managers, Accounts Receivable, Accounting, PMO) to reconcile sales orders throughout project lifecycles. Ensures accurate billing and resolves unbilled accounts. Requires strong organization, attention to detail, and NetSuite proficiency. Must have NetSuite experience. 3 days a week in the office.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Research & collect data for accurate invoicing of historical and current projects.
- Follow internal controls to reconcile customer accounts, ensuring accurate revenue, invoicing, and reporting.
- Monitor billing terms, ensuring timely invoicing and data provision to relevant parties.
- Investigate, reconcile, and resolve projects on hold, guaranteeing timely resolution.
- Research, reconcile, & provide solutions for sales order backlog.
- Maintain detailed weekly schedules for pending reconciliations.
- Prepare contract closeout documentation for PMO and billing.
- Serve as primary contact for weekly status reporting to Project Managers & Accounts Receivable.
- Identify process improvements for PMO and billing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or equivalent field.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
- Data analysis and assimilation skills from multiple sources.
- Proficiency in NetSuite or similar financial software.
- Understanding of revenue recognition accounting principles.
- Strong multitasking, prioritization, and deadline adherence.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- General ledger reconciliation experience (a plus).
