Full-Time Network Core Planning Engineer

Brightspeed is seeking a Network Core Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team!

This position plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the performance of our Transport and Data networks.

As a Network Core Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Monitoring network elements, designing new network builds
• Submitting costing and approval requests for network build projects
• Evaluating capacity utilization
• Forecasting bandwidth requirements to ensure efficient and reliable service delivery
• Managing network elements for Transport and data networks, ensuring optimal performance
• Continuously monitoring and evaluating network capacity utilization to maintain a high level of service quality
• Forecasting and trending bandwidth growth, proactively identifying potential capacity issues
• Developing and implementing plans to augment capacity relief as needed to meet network demands
• Working closely with engineers and other cross-functional teams to optimize network resources and ensure capacity planning aligns with future growth
• Ensuring accurate costing of facilities across multiple quoting systems
• Developing plans and designs for new projects, and modification of Core equipment and devices

This position requires limited direction and guidance.

What It Will Take To Catch Our Eye:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant experience
• 6+ years of related experience
• 4+ years of related experience with a Master's Degree
