Network Engineer Job Description
Full-time, direct-hire role.
This role is for a mid-level network engineer working with a Baltimore-based national client.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and operate next-generation networking hardware.
- Survey network requirements of remote offices and buildings.
- Analyze current network configurations and determine implementation requirements.
- Upgrade network equipment for new features and functions.
- Work with field installation contractors, troubleshooting issues.
- Implement, upgrade, maintain, troubleshoot, and support Catalyst and Nexus switch platforms.
Requirements:
- Cisco Certified Network Engineers with CCNA and 3+ years of hands-on experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, communicating with management and customers.
- Commutable to Baltimore, MD.
- (Preferred) Experience with Cisco firewalls (ASA or Firepower).
- (Preferred) Strong network troubleshooting skills.
- (Preferred) Understanding of IP addressing.
- (Preferred) 4-year degree from accredited university.
