Brightspeed is seeking a Network Inventory Build Analyst to join our team!
The Network Inventory Build Analyst builds plant and network facilities in provisioning and inventory systems to complete service assignments.
Loads network elements and logical inventory in support systems resulting from capital and expense work activity.
Assists multiple service groups by identifying plant facilities, preparing cut-sheets, updating, and maintaining record systems resulting from OSP (Outside Plant) or ISP (Inside Plant) work orders through completion of the build or maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining data integrity of inventory systems
- Partnering with affiliate business units for network information
- Handling customer record assignment/switch gating to new equipment during cutovers
- Creating cut-sheets for inside and outside facilities
- Participating in cutover activity
- Participating in first office application trials (occasionally)
- Working independently with minimal supervision
- Interpreting Company Goals, Beliefs, and Objectives
- Completing assignments effectively and efficiently
- Escalating issues and requesting assistance when needed
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Vocational training in a related field (e.g., computerized records management)
- 1-2 years telecommunications experience or network fundamentals
- Fluent skills in Excel (building spreadsheets)
- Experience with construction prints, cut sheets, cable schematics, location records/maps, and/or Central Office equipment records
- Working knowledge of technical requirements (Data, VOIP, etc.)
- Ability to grasp new concepts quickly
- Experience with computer software/business application supporting records inventory and data integrity (within the last two years)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to contribute positively to a team environment
- Working under tight timelines (Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual deliverables)
- Willingness and availability to work overtime
- Working knowledge of XGSPON, NextGen, and other network solutions and equipment types
- Familiarity with Network mapping tools, CAD layouts, route tracing, and solutioning experience
- Working knowledge of various BSPD systems (IQGeo, BOSS-IM/OM, AMS, Optius, ODiN) and Microsoft Suite
Bonus Points:
- Experience in inventory systems (MARTENS, LOOP Qual, NDS, ARMOR, eShop, DOCS, Ensemble, etc.)
