What You’ll Do
We have an immediate need for a creative, collaborative, self-motivated Pre-Sales Network Systems Engineer to partner with Account teams. Support enterprise customers in the St Louis area.
The Systems Engineer acts as a trusted advisor to gather requirements and identify opportunities with existing and new customers.
Collaborate with Account Managers to understand client needs and conduct whiteboard reviews to improve network performance.
- Conduct product presentations of Arista's Open Networking Data Center and Cognitive Campus solutions, CloudVision, Security, Endpoint Security and Real-time Fabric Monitoring.
Own pre-sales and post-sales technical relationships with assigned customers and channel partners.
Maintain deep knowledge of Arista technologies to support channel partners and customers.
Execute technical Quarterly Business Reviews with customer base.
Support onsite requirements.
Facilitate technical training on Arista products.
Architect, design, and propose Data Center & Campus solutions (leaf-spine architectures, VxLAN, EVPN, network overlays).
Perform hands-on testing to validate designs and deployments.
Create design guidelines and recommend improvements.
Partner with the Sales Team to respond to RFP/RFQs.
Author feature requests, business justifications, and provide feedback to Product Management, Hardware Development, and Software Development.
Represent Arista at industry events and conferences.
Present technical content virtually and in-person.
Create technical marketing materials.
Author white papers.
Travel expectations: 15-30%
Required: BS/CS/CE Business or Technical degree; MBA/MS a plus.
Preferred: Network Industry Certification (e.g., CCIE (R&S), JNCIE, ACE-5,6,7).
Experience: 5+ years L2/L3 networking design and implementation, focusing on Data Center, Campus, and WIFI solutions.
Skills: Strong presentation and selling skills; ability to communicate complex technical material; build successful relationships; good interpersonal skills; experience creating technical materials; recent experience in leaf-spine architecture design.
Expert Knowledge: Ethernet, RSTP/MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, eBGP, VxLAN, EVPN, Multicast, Spanning Tree, QoS, CLIP.
Desired: Experience building network automation using Python and Ansible.
