Job Details
Chamberlain College of Nursing seeks Part-Time Nursing Faculty interested in teaching with our BSN Nursing program. You will be teaching students in the role of facilitator, role model, coach and advisor. Incorporating Chamberlain Care philosophy to educate and embolden diverse nursing professionals.
- Part-time professors lead asynchronous discussions and teach 2 synchronous live lectures each week on Wednesdays; one between 7am-12pm Central Time plus one between 5pm-9:30pm Central Time.
- Professors will be available via email, online conferencing or telephone, to provide support and respond to student's enquiries in a timely manner.
We are presently accepting applications from experienced faculty with experience teaching in the following areas of course specializations:
- NR222 - Health and Wellness
- NR228 - Nutrition, Health & Wellness
- NR 283 - Pathophysiology
- NR293 - Pharmacology
- NR 302/304 - Health Assessment
- NR 324/325 - Adult Health/Med-Surg
Responsibilities:
- Course Preparation: Provide students with a Chamberlain University approved syllabus.
- Technological Integration: Use appropriate technological options for online technologies.
- Communication: Model effective oral and written communications.
- Course Management: Set clear expectations for the course.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in nursing (MSN) or higher is required
- Unencumbered Compact licensure is required
- Illinois RN licensure will be required to teach all courses
- 2+ years' experience teaching didactic nursing courses for a college or university is required
- Experience teaching nursing didacic courses is required
- Teaching experience with an online learning platform such as Canvas is preferred
- Faculty must have requisite subject matter expertise and outstanding communication skills.
The expected compensation rate for this position is between $715/Earned Credit Hour to $1,950/Earned Credit Hour, depending on the candidate’s education and experience.
