Job Details
The Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Engineer designs, implements, and maintains the cryptographic infrastructure. This role secures communications, authenticates identities, and protects data across digital systems. Key responsibilities include:
- Manage enterprise Certificate Authorities (CAs).
- Maintain Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs) and Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) services.
- Oversee the issuance, renewal, and revocation of certificates.
- Implement certificate lifecycle automation.
- Ensure systems adhere to industry best practices for encryption.
- Manage private key protection using Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).
- Investigate and remediate certificate-related outages.
- Collaborate with security, IT, DevOps, and application delivery teams.
- 5 years experience in IAM, security engineering, or infrastructure roles with a focus on PKI.
- Experience managing PKI platforms such as Microsoft ADCS, Venafi, Keyfactor or others.
- Deep understanding of TLS/SSL, S/MIME, PGP, Code signing, and HTTPS
- Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related field and/or equivalent work experience.
