Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer with expertise in cloud data warehousing, data engineering, and AI/ML. You'll collaborate with the sales team to present tailored solutions leveraging platforms like Databricks and Snowflake.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Sales Support & Solution Design:
- Collaborate with sales to understand customer needs and design scalable cloud architectures using Databricks, Snowflake, etc.
- Present product demonstrations, POCs, and architectural walkthroughs.
- Develop technical presentations and workshops on data engineering best practices.
- Assist with RFP/RFI responses and align with customer objectives.
- Facilitate data strategy workshops to plan client analytics priorities.
- Build scopes of work for data projects.
- AI & Data Engineering Expertise:
- Understand customer data engineering workflows (pipelines, ETL, integration).
- Advise on optimal design and implementation of data pipelines, automation, and AI/ML model integration.
- Help clients identify AI/ML use cases and guide integration into data architecture.
- Customer Engagement & Support:
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, solving complex data and AI challenges.
- Develop strong customer relationships and provide ongoing guidance.
- Partner with customer success and support teams for smooth implementation.
- Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing:
- Work with Product Management, Engineering, and Data Science teams.
- Train and mentor internal sales teams on cloud data warehousing, data engineering, and AI.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and share knowledge with the team and customers.
- Technical Enablement & Best Practices:
- Build and maintain technical documentation and collateral.
- Contribute to best practices, white papers, and technical case studies.
- Lead internal training sessions, webinars, and knowledge-sharing events.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience with cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of data engineering concepts.
- Proven experience with AI/ML technologies.
- Familiarity with data integration tools, real-time data processing, and advanced analytics.
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Ability to engage with technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience in sales engineering, pre-sales support, or a similar role.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer focus and ability to articulate business value.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud data architecture, data engineering, AI/ML, or sales engineering.
- (Bonus) Certifications in Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure.
- (Bonus) Familiarity with BI tools and data visualization.
- (Bonus) Agile development and DevOps experience.
