Fastmarkets is seeking a Price Reporter to join its Americas metals team, based in the United States. This individual will develop and promote prices, news, and commentary for the US aluminum market.
This role involves working with cross-regional and cross-functional teams on key sustainability projects. It reports directly to the Americas base metals editor and is fully remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Price Discovery and Analysis: Report on commodity market fundamentals, including price drivers, key end markets, and industry participants. Uphold methodology and compliance processes.
- Value-added reporting: Break news and publish exclusive market commentary. Help produce marketing content (white papers, landing pages, social media).
- Market Engagement: Manage industry contacts, network, attend conferences to expand source list. Learn to present and moderate at events. Support external engagement meetings.
- Representation: Adapt to new ways of working, behave professionally with integrity, prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential.
Market Knowledge: Background in metals, commodities, or financial markets. Business writing experience preferred.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and distill complex topics.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with industry contacts, respond to queries confidentially.
