Join ABBYY and be part of a team that celebrates your unique work style.
With flexible work options, a supportive team, and rewards that reflect your value, you can focus on what matters most – driving your growth, while fueling ours.
Our commitment to respect, transparency, and simplicity means you can trust us to always choose to do the right thing.
As a trusted partner for purpose-built AI and intelligent automation, we solve highly complex problems for our enterprise customers and put their information to work to transform the way they do business.
Over 10,000 customers trust ABBYY, including many Fortune 500 ones.
You will work on further developing a portfolio already containing client names such as DHL, Johnson & Johnson, FDA, DMV, PwC, KeyBank, Spotify, and H&R BLOCK.
We’re looking for an experienced QA Engineer to play a key role in shaping our overall quality strategy.
You will work with others to define and implement our approach to test automation and quality processes.
The current setup is evolving, and your contribution will be important in scaling and improving it to support fast and reliable product delivery.
This role goes beyond executing test plans. We’re looking for someone who brings deep experience, can contribute to strategic decisions, and knows what it takes to build strong and effective QA systems.
Responsibilities
- Quality Strategy: Work as part of a small team defining and improving our approach to quality, with a strong focus on automated testing.
- Test Automation: Help build out a solid automation system that fits our needs. This includes choosing tools, setting up frameworks, and making sure it scales as the product grows.
- Ownership: Be hands-on and responsible for pushing quality forward across the whole lifecycle: from planning to testing to release.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to prevent bugs before they happen and make sure quality is part of how we build things.
- Scaling QA: Be involved in figuring out what people and skills we need as we grow, and mentor others in the team.
- Process Improvements: Keep an eye out for ways to improve test coverage, reduce flakiness, and cut down test times.
- Metrics & Visibility: Help define what we track to understand quality, and make sure we actually use that info to get better.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in QA roles, with deep experience in automation
- Experience building or leading large QA automation efforts, ideally in fast-moving product teams
- Comfortable picking the right tools and frameworks based on needs, not trends
- Solid understanding of CI/CD and how tests fit in
- Technical fluency across backend and frontend systems
- Strong written and verbal communication, able to work with people in different roles
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with or hiring other QA folks
- Exposure to performance and load testing tools
- Strong debugging and failure analysis skills
- Bias for action and making things better without waiting for direction
