Full-Time Principal Researcher

Job Summary: As a member of the Unit 42, National Security Team (NATSEC), you'll work closely with global researchers and threat intelligence analysts. You will be embedded in a customer environment, tracking cybercriminals, ransomware groups, and advanced persistent threats to support sensitive customer intelligence.

Responsibilities:

• Provide timely and actionable intelligence for customer requirements.
• Utilize global datasets (netflow, malware, passive DNS, etc.) to track malicious actors, infrastructure, and campaigns.
• Collaborate with global analysts to analyze and develop coverage for emerging threats.
• Develop tactical hunting and strategic threat assessments based on customer needs.
• Communicate with product engineering teams to enhance detection efficacy.

Qualifications:

• Eligible for Singapore CAT 2A Government Clearance
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent military experience, or 8+ years of experience as a cleared cyber threat intelligence analyst
• Working knowledge of BigQuery
• Proficiency in Python, C, and/or C++
• Familiarity with common malware families and research techniques
• Knowledge of common tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) used by cyber threat actors, including the MITRE ATT&CK Matrix
• Strong understanding of cyber security threat actors, their TTPs, tooling, and noteworthy attacks
• Experience leveraging netflow, passive DNS, IP registration, malware telemetry, and other data sets for comprehensive threat assessments
• Experience working with information security teams (fusion centers, SOCs, vulnerability management, incident response, threat hunting, data analytics)
• Excellent time management and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfort presenting in various environments (conferences, customer briefings)
• Native-level English and Malay fluency (other languages a plus)
