Full-Time Principal Security Field Architect

Principal Security Field Architect will serve as a trusted security advisor to both internal teams and external retail customers, ensuring cybersecurity best practices are integrated into digital commerce solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, and managing security tooling and infrastructure.
• Implementing comprehensive information security strategy aligned with organizational goals, risk tolerance, and customer requirements.
• Overseeing implementation and maintenance of security standards, protocols, and guidelines.
• Ensuring all products meet compliance with industry regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC II:II, HIPAA, FedRAMP, NIST).
• Resolving ambiguous situations with conflicting business/product strategies.
• Communicating security risks, performance, and initiatives to executive leadership.
• Understanding access management practices, principles, and technologies (IAM, IGA).
• Leading security awareness programs and training initiatives.
• Conducting regular security audits and risk assessments.
• Participating in end-to-end discussions for system design.
• Staying updated on security trends, technologies, and regulatory changes.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT risk management, or enterprise security leadership.
• Deep understanding of Cloud Technology and Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proven experience as a CISO, Distinguished Security Architect, Risk Expert, or senior security architect (ideally in retail, commerce, or technology).
• Deep expertise in cloud security, Zero Trust architecture, IAM, SSE/SASE, and network security.
• Strong understanding of retail technology security challenges (IoT security, data privacy, payment security).
• Expertise in regulatory compliance for digital commerce (GDPR, PCI-DSS, CCPA, etc.).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, CCSP (preferred).
• Experience working with global retail organizations (a plus).
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
