Job Details
Design and release engineer for HVAC control modules and sensors.
Duties include:
- Working with suppliers and other engineering areas to design, develop, and release HVAC control modules and sensors.
- Writing source packages, specifications, requirements, change notices, and overall supplier management to meet program timing and deliverables.
- Working with HVAC software, calibration, and system teams to develop HVAC control modules and sensors that meet program functional objectives.
- Following, tracking, root-causing, and managing to resolution issues found during development, along with build issues found during pre-production and production launch builds.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science (Engineering) from an ABET accredited university
Required qualifications, experience, and knowledge:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent) from an ABET accredited university
- 5+ years experience in automotive HVAC control module design and release
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
- Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R), control plans, and agile software development
- CAN/LIN bus knowledge and/or circuit analysis experience
- Experience with CAD tools - NX or Team Center
- Experience using proactive quality tools (Design for Six Sigma)
- Experience using reactive quality tools (Kepner-Tregoe / Shainin)
- Automotive assembly plant and/or program launch experience
- Self-starter and motivated to produce results
Contract details:
Medium to long-term contract
Location requirement:
Able to visit the sites when necessary
