As a Unit 42 Product Specialist, you provide product support, configuration, and deployment assistance, driving security transformation for customers during and after security incidents.
You analyze incident details, identifying technology, policy, and procedural gaps. You develop a plan to enhance customer security posture.
Work directly with customers, from technical experts to executives and board members, to communicate findings and recommendations. Your expertise in Palo Alto Networks products is crucial. Help customers with troubleshooting, configuration, and security improvements. Emphasize best practices to prevent future incidents.
Support Customers:
- Provide hands-on support with IT and security solutions deployment, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Guide customers through implementing security standards and best practices.
- Partner with account teams to understand previous PANW investments, ensuring thoughtful expansion recommendations.
- Maintain professional presence and bearing while interacting with diverse contacts, including technical staff, executives, and boards.
- Proactively communicate project status, risks, and issues to clients and Unit 42 staff.
- Provide after-hours and weekend support as needed.
- Travel to customer locations in North America, up to 50% of the time.
- Assist customers with other tasks as required.
Essential Skills:
- Deep understanding of network and endpoint security technologies (next-gen firewalls, SASE, SSE, zero trust, identity management, endpoint protection, and data loss prevention). PANW product experience preferred.
- Expertise in deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Palo Alto Networks solutions.
- Engineering and design experience in Active Directory, IP networking, and large-scale network infrastructure.
- Minimum 10 years IT/system administration/network administration experience; 3 years managing security in enterprise environments.
- Consulting or client-facing experience preferred.
- Ability to remain calm and articulate in high-pressure situations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in information security, computer science, or related fields.
Compensation:$183,000 - $252,000/yr (base). May include restricted stock units and bonuses.
