Full-Time Professional Services Consultant NGFW

Professional Services Consultant - An integral part of our Professional Services team, you'll provide onsite/remote deployment and configuration expertise relating to Palo Alto Networks solutions. You are the product SME, interacting directly with clients and project teams. You provide technical direction, interpretation, and alternatives to our best practice deployment methodology.

Hands-on role: Develop and maintain expertise on products and solutions deployed in customer environments. You get into the details of our platform, pushing buttons, flipping levers, and turning knobs. You handle difficult challenges related to cybersecurity, implementations, and integrations.

Customer Focus: You are the technical authority interacting directly with clients to help them secure their digital environments. You train their staff. Prior experience with our platform is helpful, but strong networking and security foundations are crucial.

Experience with competitor's technology is advantageous. Many involve client migrations to our platform, so understanding competitor nuances is valuable.

Training Provided: We offer Professional Services Academy training.

Your Impact:

• Migrate customers from legacy firewall technologies to Palo Alto Networks platforms.
• Build custom security policies and application signatures.
• Progress and uphold expertise in deploying advanced Palo Alto Networks features.
• Provide after-hours/weekend on-call support.
• Analyze logs and events for troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot support cases with Technical Assistance Center.
• Maintain solutions and provide mentorship on code upgrades.
• Meet client needs and deliverables on time.

Your Experience:

• Required: Network, security solutions, and technologies; troubleshooting skills; experience with firewall appliances; strong TCP/IP skills; extensive internetworking experience.
• Preferred: Palo Alto Networks products experience; industry certifications (CISSP, CCNA, etc.).
• Important Skills: Ability to handle multiple projects and work under pressure, excellent written and verbal communication, experience leading security solutions in large environments, deep understanding of security threats, internet protocols and applications, detailed technical installation, configuration and operation of high-end firewall appliances.

Compensation: $126,000 - $189,000/YR, base salary (depending on experience and location). May include restricted stock units and bonuses.

Travel Required: Up to 15% of the time.
