Your Career As a Professional Services Consultant (SASE), you’ll dive deep into our platform. You will push the buttons, flip the levers, turn the knobs. You embrace challenging cybersecurity implementations and integrations. You’re the technical authority, interacting directly with customers to secure their digital environments and train their staff.
While experience on our platform is beneficial, a strong foundation in networking and security technologies, coupled with excellent communication skills, is crucial. Experience with competitor technologies is a plus. Many opportunities involve client migrations to our platform, so understanding the nuances of their existing technology is key to exceptional Palo Alto Networks consulting.
Your Impact You’re an expert in network security, with a strong understanding of Palo Alto Networks firewalls, GlobalProtect, Prisma Access, and Prisma Access Browser.
- Implement, optimize, and operate SASE Platforms, focusing on large-scale Prisma Access deployments.
- Develop and leverage expertise on SASE Platforms and relevant tools to optimize deployments and operations.
- Migrate customers from legacy remote access to our SASE platforms.
- Identify, design, and implement solutions to enhance Prisma Access/Browser performance, reliability, and security.
- Build custom security policies and application signatures.
- Progress and uphold expertise in deploying advanced Palo Alto Networks features.
- Provide after-hours and weekend on-call support for maintenance.
- Troubleshoot issues using logs and events.
- Partner with the Technical Assistance Center for support cases.
- Maintain the solution and provide mentorship on code upgrades and best practices.
- Drive client satisfaction and meet project deliverables and scope.
- Act as an escalation point for complex issues, providing clear resolution paths and communication.
- Ensure timely project completion and strategic alignment.
Your Experience
- 5+ years experience with remote access technologies (IPSec VPN, SSL VPN, Explicit Proxy, ZTN)
- Tunneling protocols (SSL/TLS, IPSec, GRE)
- Authentication methodologies (2FA, SAML, RADIUS, LDAP, TACACS, Certificates)
- Directory Services (OKTA, Active Directory, Azure ADFS, Ping, EntraID, OneLogin)
- Routing skills (BGP, Redistribution, Static Routing, Traffic Steering, PBF)
- Next-Generation Firewall capabilities, configuration, and deployment (Panorama, User-ID, App-ID, Threat Prevention, URL Filtering, CASB, DLP, SSL Decryption)
- SD-WAN technologies (Prisma SD-WAN/CloudGenix, PanOS SD-WAN)
- Certificate management (Public, Private, PKI)
- Commercial browser management (Chrome, Edge, Brave), and ideally competitor enterprise browsers
- Endpoint management solutions (Microsoft Intune, Jamf, VMware Workspace ONE)
- Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Education BS in Computer Science or equivalent
Compensation Compensation varies based on qualifications, experience, and location. Starting base salaries for non-sales roles are expected to be between $126,000 - $172,000/YR.
Travel Travel is required.
