What Does a Programmatic Trader Do?
Join our in-House programmatic team within the media team. We need a results-driven, detail-oriented individual with prior experience launching, managing, and optimizing campaigns using demand-side platforms (DSPs). You enjoy working with various platforms and the intricacies of programmatic campaigns.
Must-Haves:
- Numbers-oriented, analytical, Excel guru, and self-starter.
- Work with internal teams (Media Planning & Analytics).
- Operate in-platform, executing planned campaigns (with Programmatic Supervisor).
- Manage and optimize campaigns throughout the project lifecycle.
- 1+ year self-service DSP experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize live programmatic campaigns.
- Meet client objectives.
- Monitor & analyze campaigns (performance, brand safety, viewability).
- Manage campaign calendar, assets, billing.
- Data analysis & optimization (optimization log).
- Weekly performance snapshots & pacing reports.
- Analytics reporting (optimizations, insights).
- Identify & escalate issues quickly.
- Strong vendor/cross-agency relationships.
- Participate in internal/external meetings.
- Contribute to tactical media planning (forecasting, estimation).
- Develop programmatic media recommendations.
- Contribute to proposals & launch documentation.
- Identify new media opportunities.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies & trends.
- Proactively suggest process improvements.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years experience preferred.
- Deep understanding of DSPs & related platforms (ad servers).
- DSP proficiency.
- Campaign setup.
- Budget management.
- Campaign optimization.
- Creative testing & implementation.
- Data analysis skills.
- Data platform/vendor proficiency.
- 3rd party verification tools (DoubleVerify, IAS).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (operational projects).
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas).
- Data-driven optimization recommendations.
- Trend identification for optimization.
- Communication of optimization & investment shifts.
- Collaboration with media team on monthly dashboards.
- Lead executional calls.
- Effective troubleshooting.
