Full-Time Project Chemist/Data Validator

AECOM is seeking a Senior Chemist/Data Validation Specialist to validate data for organics and inorganics analyses, based out of our Chelmsford, MA office with remote work options.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs).
• Validate analytical data according to guidelines (NFG, DoD, Regional EPA).
• Develop validation procedures for unique analyses.
• Review data validation reports for accuracy and consistency.
• Summarize data quality in Data Usability Assessments (DUAs).
• Provide training and guidance to junior chemists.
• Adhere to budget and schedule.
• Collaborate with Project/Senior Chemists.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field + 6 years experience (or equivalent).
• Experience validating HR-GCMS data is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Chemistry.
• 7+ years experience in environmental analytical lab and/or data validation.
• Experience with radiochemical and PFAS data validation.
• Understanding of analytical equipment (ICP, ICP-MS, HPLC, GC, GC/MS).
• Familiarity with EPA National Functional Guidelines, automated data review systems (EDMS, FUDSChem, EPA EXES), and EQuIS.
